These symbols describe the cost of visiting a place—not the cost of using XPLR GUIDE.
Symbols are relative to what’s typical for that category—a $$$ restaurant and a $$$ hotel are each on the higher side for what they are, not the same dollar amount.
Prices in the app exclude tax and gratuity unless a listing says otherwise.
No-cost
A trail, an overlook, a historic site, a small-town square.
Everyday
An easy yes. Most people can make this plan without thinking twice.
Approachable
Comfortable for a night out, a family stop, or a short stay.
Considered
A planned spend. Worth it, and you’ll think about it on purpose.
Elevated
Special-occasion territory, or a higher-end stay.
Splurge
The rare, high-end, once-in-a-while experience.
